COMMITMENT TO JUSTICE AND INCLUSION
The Hong Kong Canadian Community Service Association (HKCCSA) is committed to advancing equity, racial justice, diversity, inclusion, and decolonisation in all aspects of our work. Diversity and the unique experiences of individuals are vital strengths that enrich our programs, services, and community connections. HKCCSA recognises that equity requires more than equal treatment; it demands proactive measures to remove systemic barriers and create opportunities for full participation, especially for those who have been historically marginalised. We are dedicated to addressing the intersecting impacts of racism, colonisation, and social inequities on Indigenous peoples, Black and racialised communities, migrants (including refugees and immigrants), 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals, persons with disabilities, linguistic minorities, and those affected by socioeconomic and cultural barriers. Guided by anti-oppressive, anti-racist, and decolonising principles, we strive to create a welcoming, empowering, and culturally responsive environment where every person feels valued and supported. Through continuous reflection and learning, HKCCSA seeks to build a more inclusive and compassionate society where diversity is celebrated as a source of resilience and transformation.
