About the Department of Community Service
The Department of Community Service is responsible for delivering programs that respond to the needs of individuals and families across the community. These programs support areas such as newcomer settlement, youth engagement, elder wellness, and general social inclusion. In addition to community-based programming, the department offers one-to-one case management and referral services, connecting participants to housing supports, healthcare, education, and other social services. The department maintains a strong emphasis on outreach, ensuring that programming remains responsive to the evolving needs of the population it serves.
